Shaykh Imran Ally continues to serve as the sole resident Imam at one mosque in Canada for over two decades-a testament to his dedication and passion for community service. Beyond his role as an Imam, he is a chaplain for first responders and international sports. Known for being approachable and personable, he embodies prophetic teachings and is always ready to serve. One of his well-known statements at Muslim gatherings is, “If you’re not making a positive difference in your community, there’s a deficiency in your understanding and practice of Islam.”
An award-winning Imam, Shaykh Imran has been recognized for his significant contributions to the Muslim community and broader society. He is also a licensed Government of Ontario marriage officiant, offering personalized services through his SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts) program. Shaykh Imran not only officiates weddings but prepares couples for married life, ensuring their ceremonies are memorable and unique.
Often referred to as the “complete people’s Imam,” Shaykh Imran is known for his humor and ability to personalize milestone events, creating meaningful experiences. In addition to delivering Jumu’ah Khutbahs, he speaks at conferences, seminars, and forums on topics such as:

Shaykh Imran and his wife, Kameeza, have been married for 20 years and are blessed with three sons. In 2007, they founded Yusuf’s Day Of Hope (YDOH), a non-profit named after their second son, Yusuf, who suffers from three rare genetic disorders. YDOH raises funds to support hospitals and organizations serving individuals with disabilities and their caregivers.
Fun Fact: Shaykh Imran is an avid sports fan, supporting the San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Braves, Manchester United, and West Indies Cricket. Living in the Greater Toronto Area, he also roots for Canadian sports teams.
