Dr. Munir El Kassem was born in Beirut, Lebanon. His Islamic education was established at Al-Maqasid Islamic Institute. Dr. Munir El-Kassem began his pre-medicine program at the American University of Beirut and completed his education at the University of Toronto where he graduated as a Dental Surgeon. After spending 15 years in general practice, he joined Western University as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.

While working as a Dental Surgeon, Dr. Munir’s love for Dawah led him to pursue many lecture circuits around the world, authoring numerous Islamic books, writing articles, and hosting his own radio show. Dr. Munir was an early pioneer in the Islamic dawah scene planting the seed which has now grown into a large and flourishing community. There is hardly a weekend where he is not on the road visiting a community or speaking at a conference.

In 2016, Dr. Munir was appointed as the Muslim Chaplain for the London Police Service.

In 2018, Dr. Munir decided to retire from Dentistry and focus only on Dawah. His dream is to reach out to as many people as he can globally and take his Dawah beyond North America.
