Sr. Tanweer is well known as a community activist for her work addressing Muslim women’s issues. She has empowered the lives of many Muslim women in the community and throughout Canada.

Currently serving as the Executive Director of Nisa Helpline, Her role for the last 7 years has been exemplary in the growth of this essential support service for vulnerable women. Nisa Helpline, under her direction, now serves thousands of women across all of North America.

Sr. Tanweer has speaks at many conference throughout North American and is frequently featured as a panelist where she speaks on women, empowerment, domestic violence, and Islam.

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
